Blue Water Villa - ( "Villa Banyu Biru" in Balinese ) |
|
Location
Blue Water is located at Pantai Saba (Saba Beach), a 15 minute drive north of the tourist area of Sanur, and within easy reach of Ubud, the Islands cultural centre. It is approached from a local temple, along a 400m private drive though rice paddy fields to an impressive front entrance. Blue Water itself - completed in February 2009 is a complex of 4 principal buildings, designed by the owner and W. Yudiatha (a very capable local architect) in 2004, and is of modern colonial lines, combining elegance with cool comfort and very spacious 21st century living.
Blue Water Villa was conceived with the discerning traveller in mind as a haven to unwind and seek absolute relaxation. It is one of only a few private villas (or hotels) on the island that is sensitive to special needs with wheelchair access and wide garden pathways.
Set in beautiful grounds of over ˝ acre, and bounded by rich tropical orchards and tall coconut trees, the luxury complex comprises two unit of fully equipped Two-bedroom villas, a luxury entertaining "bale" and pool, staff quarters and garaging. The buildings have been carefully constructed to the highest specifications, utilising natural local stone and slate and premium hardwoods, combined with modern amenities and stylish high quality fixtures and fittings. The result is the very best of Balinese architectural elements, combined with a contemporary flair, bold décor and elegant furnishings.
The villas offer total privacy with a blend of outdoor living, and sit discretely within the secure walled surroundings of the complex. Rich fabrics, Balinese artefacts, modern sculptures and stylish, comfortable furnishings grace the natural stone and ceramic floors, while polished marble, granite and natural stone dominate the utility rooms, and colourful local, and internationally important artwork adorn the walls.
Living and Dining
The covered open-air living and dining areas feature magnificent rich mahogany vaulted ceilings, with quiet fans providing cool comfort, even in extreme conditions. Beautiful stone carvings, antique and modern ornaments and paintings adorn the walls, while the sitting areas face their respective private gardens.
Dining for up to 6 guests is catered for in each villa, with adjacent dry and wet kitchens fully equipped to provide the staff, and visiting international cuisine chefs with all their needs.

Gardens
The gardens are a principle feature of Blue Water. They are extensively laid out with a good variety of mature trees to shade the lawns, fragrant flowers - primarily to attract birds and butterflies, and lush tropical shrubs to enhance colour. The 5 ponds, planted with lilies, lotus and reeds add to the tranquillity. All the main pathways pass through the flower-draped central pagoda, now home to many birds. The boundary wall is secure and offers additional privacy.
Service
We pride ourselves on service, and all the staff have 5 star hotel experience. The villa manager, previously a manager of a luxurious 5* Hotel in Bali has set similar competitive standards in Blue Water. The result is to meet and exceed all our clients' needs.
You will be met by our staff when you arrive at the international airport and chauffeured to the villa (some 40 minutes drive). Should you wish to have breakfast on the coral bay in Sanur, or take a 20minute minute drive to the cultural art centre of Ubud, go shopping in the bustling centre of the capital Denpasar, play a round of golf on a breath taking course deep in a volcano crater, spend a day of relaxation and pampering in the mountain hot springs, or meander through beautiful botanical gardens by crystal clear lakes, your transport arrangements will all be taken care of.
Housekeeping is carried out quietly and efficiently, and includes evening turn-down service.
The pool is cleaned twice daily, and you can imagine the daily workload it takes to maintain the garden with 4000+ plants and shrubs!
Whilst the actual need is questionable, the Blue Water team take safety and security very seriously, and all precautions are taken to ensure your stay is incident free.
Surya Suryata
Very attractive and important features of the villas are the beautiful large canvas original paintings by Suryata, a Master artist of the Island, and world renowned painter. Paintings adorn living rooms and bedrooms and are complimented by beautiful batik, songket and ikat textiles, antique and modern decorations (for more details of the works of Surya Suryata visit his website at www.suryasuryata.com )
